Girls' Day Out

I had a very happy day today, a nice reprieve from the day I had yesterday.

Today I got to go to Memphis with my Mom and my Aunt Jane. It was a quick trip but a good one. We ate at our favorite restaurant and I had a lovely piece of char with brussel sprouts. We sat for awhile and ate our meal together and talked and laughed and just had a great time. On our way home, we had a latte and shared a pumpkin muffin. Mmmmmmm...

The tastiest part of the day was the knowledge and realization that I have such a wonderful family, such wonderful, fun and inspiring women in my family. We have so much fun together, which is something that not all people share with their families.

Today more than made up for yesterday, not that it really had to. It was wonderful on its own, relative to nothing else.

Which is good enough for me.

I LOVE pumpkin flavored stuff. Yesterday I almost ordered pumpkin pancakes at Ihop. Then today, I bought pumpkin cheesecake. How fun for all involved.
