This is the baby that my sister and her husband are hoping to adopt! She was born today at 12:56 p.m., weighing 7 pounds, 13 ounces, and 20 inches long.

Update: I found out this morning that the birth mother has changed her mind and plans to keep the baby. As you might imagine, my sister and BIL are devastated. While the birth of any baby is still worth noting on this "happiness" blog, we're not feeling too happy at the present time. So your hugs and prayers are welcomed! Thanks!
